If you liked Gone Home, definitely give Everybody's Gone to the Rapture a shot. Strolling through that cute little town, trying to figure out what the heck happened there was mesmerizing for me. The story is not as grounded in reality as Gone Home, but the characters are. Excellent voice acting and music too.

It's cheaper, shorter and better - at worst it's an hour-long trip through some visually pleasing assets. If you don't get on with it, there's no point touching EGttR.
