I admire vegans a lot more than veggies. In fact I think that all militant yet dairy eating veggies have a moral obligation to eat veal. But no that would upset them because 90% of the hippy twats anthropomorphise animals and don't want to eat the baby wickle cow
I always saw honey as a legitimate foodstuff being as the relationship is more symbiotic than with some other species. Didn't know about this trend for killing hive pre winter. It makes sense obviously, maybe simply anyone who ever mentions the world yield is a prick

Got to say whatever a person's beliefs or reasons for eating stuff or not is fine with me, but I do respect a hardcore vegan a lot more than, say, someone I know who eats no animals at all. Except fish. And sometimes duck.
Similarly (and please excuse the analogy) you've got to respect hardcore fundamental religious zealots a lot more than the majority of "Christians" who never go to church and who continue to eat meat and all that other stuff the bible says not to do. I love a Jew who won't even use the light switch on the Sabbath. Hardcore, well done.
Once had a job working reception at an orthodox Jewish hotel. At sundown we'd lock the gate as anyone who was coming if they're not here they'll be staying in the car until Saturday night
Whilst I completely disagree with preaching, I do think that if the aim of veggies/vegans is to reduce animal cruelty and the industrialisation of death that their purpose would be better served by being selective about their animal foodstuffs
Let me drop numbers to flesh out the logic. If 60% of carnivores want better husbandry and soil association approved meat, then that's the majority of the market, it might get listened to if it votes with its feet
If half those people went vegetarian or vegan, their voices stop counting in that argument, just the market shrinks, which tightens margins, potentially making poor husbandry more attractive. Plus in the existing market the majority don't care about foods provenance, 40% don't care, 30% want good, 30% veggie/vegan

Orthodox Jews aren't allowed to trigger electric doors but, in an emergency, can follow a gentile through if they're quick enough that the door isn't interfered with.
I blame funds because I'm lazy, I doubt I'd ever go veggie or vegan, I'd like to go fully free-range though. I suppose piscatarian is an easy first step towards that

The passages in the bible stating what shouldn't be eaten is pretty much a list of things that it would be sensible to avoid given the lack of means to keep them fresh and disease free.
The result of eating them is to be 'ritually unclean until evening', in other words you will have the shits so don't come to temple that evening.
The girlfriend's out tonight so I made a detour on my way home to Marks and Spencer to pick up a roasted vegetable and pesto pizza for dinner. Unfortunately, doing so took me to Covent Garden, so I'm now sitting in Meat Market awaiting a mushroom and Halloumi burger and deep-fried pickles for a snack to get me home.
My mum's apple and blackberry crumble with good quality vanilla ice cream. Now, I'm sure many would claim
I'm sure that many would claim the following for their own mothers, but I believe that my mum has perfected the art of crumble. Possibly her greatest innovation is that she cooks the fruit and crumble separately and then combining them at the point of serving, meaning that the crumble is crunchy rather than a soggy mess.
After reading Rayner's piece in the g, decided to make my own ramen noodles. First attempt better than anything I've tried in Glasgow. Gonna get into this.
After a week of essays and shite food like frozen pizza and subway I had my de-stress today and spent 2 hours chatting with flat mates and cooking a big fuck off poverty vegetable curry with peach in and it was yum and I am now fully at ease.
