I've played the demo 3 times and I have zero problems with drawing the shapes. I don't even look at the gamepad and I still get them spot 99% of the time.
Since watching that Saur video, i've been practising pulling off Unite Morphs like Streetfighter moves. Then trying Multiple Combined Morphs, which is fine, until you're in the thick of battle and get confused. lol!
I do like the fact the added depth is there if you want it, and believe it or not, that mechanic was only added in May 2013!
I hear all purchases & unlocks carry into subsequent playthroughs (possibly incl. difficulty increases, though that last part needs double checking).
Have this but going to wait until September to dig in. (Fecking exams grrr).
Also did you guys hear that originally this game was going to use an all Nintendo character cast? Glad they went with new IP instead (altho would probs bomb less hard with a familiar roster).
It's what I get for having a Wii U that doesn't update when I connect to the net.
Had enough time to play prologue before game pad died. Rubbish battery. Couldn't see what was going on half the time. Don't like controlling with game pad. Gonna try pro controller instead tomorrow.
This game's terribly flawed. But then again, there's so much OTT goodness I just can't put it down. Do I love it? Do I hate it? It's a Platinum game alright.

Anyone still playing this? I reached the lava level, and am still enjoying it. There's so much going on, though, that's it difficult to tell whether there's any depth to the combat. Maybe it's just a sign of getting old, but the speed at which the game expects the player to react during some of the boss battles is beyond belief.
This game's got me thinking about how Platinum should really start working on slower-paced games. They've obviously got some ridiculously talented people working for them. The prospect of having them branch out into other genres is something Nintendo should encourage. Think Platinum's signature brand of games would bring a much needed shot in the arm to the WiiU.

I was playing it for a bit until my Gamepad was dying again and the system crashed. Still not feeling it. I can hardly ever make out what's happening on the screen and doing unite stuff is so fiddly.
