Don't park up in bushes basically, always behind them. If you are behind one and are close enough to see through it, if you fire you will reveal your location. If you back up so the bush becomes opaque, you will remain hidden even if you fire. However, you won't be able to spot through the bush so you are relying on others to spot, then you can fire and still remain hidden.

Are we better off advancing to the higher tiers and then sticking with a tank to train the crew up, or staying in the lower tiers and doing the same? Have you moved any crews to other tanks?
From what I've read crews are pretty damn important and can vastly improve your tank.
If you stick with a tank and crew is that tanks XP eventually wasted as you have already maxed out the tanks progression while you carry on getting the crew experienced?
I didn't bother retaining crews until I hit tiers 4-6. You progress through the first three tiers so quickly that retaining a crew would cost you more silver than it's worth, and your commander's XP wouldn't have grown that quickly anyway. Once you hit the mid to higher tiers, the time needed to advance to the next tier tank means your commander will be getting close to 100% experience, and once he hits this threshold he is able to train in extra perks or skills. This is where it is time to get precious and retain crews. However, moving a crew from tank to tank will cost you silver (or gold and real monies) depending on the level of experience you bring them in at. Doing so won't lose any XP earned on any skills/perks, but they won't start earning on these until their overall XP touches 100% again.
Be warned though, XP will be earned slower the worser performance you put in, and the skill/perk XP seems to be even more of a grind so don't expect to be carving a path through the battlefield anytime soon. Naturally with it being F2P, a lot of the grind can be mitigated through spending real dorra, particularly if you want to be pushing through to tiers 8,9 and 10. But, a little patience and grasping the mechanics will see you get much enjoyment from it, and with a platoon of us going in and co-ordinating, the fun is amplified and we might even earn XP that bit quicker.

Just got home and turned on the Bone out of curiosity as I could see the lights on my modem still going bonkers. Strange, thought I as I'd started downloading this last night. Even at the usual gig an hour my shit internet averages for downloads, I'd have thought this would be done by now???
Navigated to My Games & Apps for a look. Low and behold, in seventeen hours it's only downloaded 33% of the fucking game! WTAF! That's worse than that MGS4 Online pish from years ago.
So, anyhoo, don't expect to see me on this anytime soon.
Interesting. The actual game is only 16gig, but Frantic said he had to download a further 16gig patch after the beta finished. I strongly suspect we're all having to download the same fucking game twice over before it works. My internet is shit, but it's not that shit.
You split down into two groups, which can be as small as one tank in each group up to however much you want.
Group 1 moves forward a short distance while group 2 stays still and watches in depth of where group 1 is moving, looking for the enemy, and able to respond with a stable, accurate base of fire if the enemy appear.
Group 1 then goes firm, and watches in depth covering the movement of group 2, as group 2 moves up level with them.
Continue ad infinitum until you reach you intended destination.

Me and my brother used that while paintballing. Worked well until I was moving up, him covering me when he caught sight of a target and promptly shot me in the lug. It fucking knacked.
