This is definitely better than Dark Souls 2, for me. I prefer it to Bloodborne too.

I spent a while on character creation for my 2nd character and she looks awesome (I could only play up to Firelink until my download finished) but I didn't save her face and want her to have a different name.

If you're playing the Xbox One version in English after buying a JP version it's version 1.0 and is set at the low difficulty from the press previews. The current PS4 version 1.1 with online play is apparently noticeably harder.

Does your says v1.0 on the titlescreen?

Yep v1.0. Couldn't care less if it's a bit easier. It's not exactly easy, just not nails.

Should be harder later in game. It'll be opposite of what it usually is. Instead of tough at start and lots of deaths and then you get used to it, you'll find start easier and not as many deaths so not as much dying and getting lots of souls to level up. So you'll be underpowered later.

I mean. On Bloodborne I died more on first 10-15% of the game than the rest put together. Similar on OG DkS.

head to opposite end of area you fight boss in. Beating boss means you can open huge red door but you need something to progress so head back to other side of courtyard to castle.
