edit: ooh good timing, some anonymous W3 staff have said they worked Crunch hours for 3 years on that game amidst many complaints about working for CDPR

I'm sure there's plenty of that too though!Kow wrote:Eager to jump on the Switch wagon as fast as possible, I guess.
I recall reading somewhere that it's games developed in Unity that are struggling to be ported to Switch well.Moot_Geeza wrote:Whatever the reason, quite a few Switch ports seem to be punted out the door in a bit of a pickle.

With something like XCom 2 where there are issues across multiple platforms, I tend to assume there’s software / development issues, but I wouldn’t make a definitive statement towards “laziness”. With Sexy Brutale? Maybe look at the company that handles the port (they also did the Switch versionnof Rime) - but even then I wouldn’t, honestly, have a clue.
So, when it comes to performance issues, I tend to just talk about how it plays, rather than make assumptions about the reasons behind them. If we do a port / performance thread, I’d prefer we just stick to those details and give the type of issue, plus frequency and severity.
If anyone is interested, Sexy brutale would be something like:
Semi-Regular moderate loading between rooms.
Minor audio issues / jarring switches when changing rooms and music changes.
Regular and severe frame rate drops.
Occasional Text window placement issues depending on whether switch is docked / undocked.
