Not exactly sophisticated cuisine, but I made an excellent apple and blueberry crumble yesterday. Oats and marzipan in the crumble mix elevated this from quite ordinary to really rather good. Home made custard was good too. Felt fat afterwards.
In an attempt to make burger buns I've accidentally made the most amazing massive brioches. Last week's were as hard as rocks this week they are like floaty clouds, hopefully next week I can get somewhere in the middle.
A rosemary and potato ring loaf from Sainsbury's, which is unexpectedly incredible. I'm dipping it into a chicken stew that I started in the slow cooker at about 1am this morning.
24½ oz. rib - eye on the bone, charcoal grilled with pit fired stuffed onion £50.00 with bone marrow & soft herbs , beef drippin g hollandaise & Fat Daddy chips
24 1/4 oz rib-eye on the bone, charcoal grilled with pit fired stuffed onion, with bone marrow and soft herbs, beef dripping hollandaise and FAT DADDY CHIPS. £50 but fucking wow.
Edit: You can order Fat Daddy Chips tossed in dripping from the sides. Who wants to go with me? I can teach them how to find all the chaos emeralds in Sonic 1 on the Master System.
I'm pretty sure the most expensive thing I've ever ordered in a restaurant, excluding my honeymoon abroad, was £22 for some veal in an Italian restaurant for our 10yr anniversary. Meat & whisky though innit.
