Arf. Mrs Spock, upon seeing all of your gaming rigs/rooms, accompanied by my pathetic pleading and bleats has finally agreed to let me convert a box room into gaming room. The room's is tiny, 'bout 6ftX4ft, maybe a touch bigger so I need a telly. £200 max budget. Any recommends would be very welcome.

PC and 360, if I wanted something else I'd probably just but some basic kind of switcher but I'm fine with the DVD quality on the XBox and don't think BluRay would really shine through on a screen that size. I scaled down from an old Samsung 26" that died a death, I honestly don't notice the loss in size at all.
The 2.1 Speaker set isn't the best for music as mids are fairly washy but for games and films it is brilliant due to the bass. Again, if your room is small I reckon you'll not notice anything stronger.
Oooo. That does look nice Plan. Tempy's got me thinking about sound now though. Maybe a game chair thing hmmmmmmm. This could get real 'spensive real quick.

Given neither the 360 nor the PS3 output more than one hands worth of games at 1080p and you're going to be sitting very close to the screen I'd think long and hard about a 1080p set.
If the next gen starts doing 1080p by default you'll be nice and future proofed but that could be a long period of looking at upscaled jaggies.
