pretty cool davy. i got 48 points. can anyone beat that?davyK wrote:I built this a long time ago (at least 15 years - maybe 20) to teach myself JavaScript and HTML - it's kind of my personal "Hello World" project. It uses dodgy code (the infamous eval function ) and HTML tables for layout but ye Gods - it still seems to work on any browser/device I've tried. Would be interested to see if it still works on your combo. It uses cookies to keep your high and average score but I'm thinking of modernising - making it properly responsive with CSS and even build a little infrastructure around it for registration and score tracking etc. It's just a wee Poker Solitaire / Poker Squares game but I still like this to play from time to time. http://www.davykelly.com/pokersolitaire/pokerSolitaire6.html

davyK wrote:It's always worth having a look at old game rule books - you never know what gems you can find. As soon I saw this one I reckoned it would make for a nice automated implementation. I built a Java applet that implements it too but getting Java to run in a browser nowadays is a pain in the arse so I abandoned it. I really should return to this and modernise it a bit. Would play nice on a phone when optimised for that.dynamiteReady wrote:That is worth cleaning up. That's a very good concept, and quite fun to play...
