I didn't take to it at first, but once you start to discover stuff, like what the altars are for, it starts to get interesting. It's the only thing I'm playing on PC at the moment.
Picked up Shadowrun returns on the Steam sale. First impressions are really good and it might be a good substitute for those who think the Xcom dlc is a bit overpriced.
So, Steam sends me a message saying "an item on your wish list is on sale". Turns out that "an item" means, in this case, all but two of the games. I really shouldn't get any of them but, when there's so many, it's difficult to resist.
Tell me about it. I organised my Stream library the other day and the list of ones I own and really, really want to play is well into double figures, on top of the hundred other games in there. Hopefully I'll get a computer that can run more than a couple of them soon, Lenovo seem to make some very decent budget ultrabooks.
The Other Inbox setting on Yahoo (which I can't figure out now how to turn off) filters all Steam messages into a folder so I never see the "a game you want is on sale" messages. Thank God.
Normally, I like getting them, 'cause I've got a price that I'm willing to pay for pretty much everything I want. The problem at the moment is the sheer volume of things that have hit them all at the same time.
EDIT: Ah, hell. Why did there have to be an MDK2 HD? Now I'm all conflicted about which MDKs to buy.
Awesome, I nearly bought that on Steam the other day, but didn't 'cause I knew I'd never play them. Now they can sit unused but accessible in an online account and it won't cost me a penny.
Just picked up a collected Bullfrog Classics pack including all the Populous games, both the Syndicate games and Dungeon Keeper one and two from GOG for $15. The deal is live for another hour and a half or so, so be quick. Also, there are three presents you can choose from each day over Christmas for one very cheap deal. I went for the classics one which gave me all three Tomb Raider games for $3.
They've also got Papers, Please on there for $6.66.
