I think Madsen’s bunch are genuinely as clueless as the Roys. Just in different areas/subjects. They have that techbro arrogance of never having faced any consequences of their actions before.
It’s always great watching Shiv show some actual competence but then fuck it by being an emotional black hole. Loved how Tom started to actually stand taller the more she laid into him.
He could've just said they came from another planet but seems keen to convince people with his bullshit pseudoscience that he knows stuff. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch. - SG
Another phenomenal episode. James Cromwell's speech was superb and Ken got away with another barely coherent word salad with just enough meaning in it to feel meaningful. Greg's timing remains impeccable.
I know this is fiction, but the way it portrays rooms full of the most powerful scum in the world feels almost too plausible. Everyone is irredeemably awful.
Shiv immediately throwing her as yet unborn baby to the kerb in pursuit of an unborn career and simultaneously berating and becoming her mother was quite something.
I'm at a comedy writing festival thing today and tomorrow in Cardiff and the main speaker is Jesse Armstrong. As much as I like Peep Show I only want him to talk about Succession. Pity he won't be able to talk about the final episode.
