He is a little annoying. His step up goes red bit isn't as bad as others though. Timing on the 2 cloud jumps was main bit for me. Don't try and get hits in there.

Have you got the upgrade that increases your attack power when you're on your last legs? It's an ability I tend to find useless in other games but it saved me at least a couple of times in this. I reckon it doubles your damage.

Increasing HP seemed like a waste of time to me (for such a tiny bump) so I only paid to do it twice. Power is key I reckon. If you're stuck there are a few places to farm currency. Takes a while but I found a spot to the left of an early save point on the island you're on - six enemies (iirc) rotating around a central block. Killing them yields 24 orbs, which isn't a lot but you can leave the screen immediately and repeat without much delay. I did this for 20 mins and bought the upgrade tracker for 2500, which really helps in the long run. I have no shame.

Is the in game click to be trusted on this?! It says I've only been playing for an hour, but I'm at over 60% completion. Am I just leet, or have I likely been playing longer than that?

game is pretty generous with all that though. Some of it tough to get through, but the period of invincibility after means I ducked through a few bits taking the first hit and then legging it. 

Also, interesting balancing of the bosses, IMO, which I'm all for. Reckon they're getting easier. Basically, the balance of upgrades versus what they do is tipped in player's favour. Particularly the low health damage buff. I've first timed 2 out the last 3 bosses now.

Nearly to enough cash to get the markers if I want, or I might just buff my damage more. 

Searching for the second of the three bosses on 5th island right now.

So I think I finished this. Say at 100% completion anyway. But had to turn it off just as I best the final boss. I think.

I never sussed the phase tbh, always only had one or two hits left for the second bit.

I wrote a little reader review for this that’s over on GC on the Metro site. It’s not Mootlevels but then what is?.

Tonally darker, more pixel art and possibly more focus on fights, but humble has a game dropping free if you're signed up coming later this month.
