If anyone is getting this from Game, as an elite card holder you’ll get £18 from buying the console and you’ll also get another 25% extra on console trade in’s and 50% extra on game trade in’s. So it might be worth signing up for a year as you’ll get your money back and more in one go if you’re trading in your Xbox and/or a few games.
I was thinking of trading my Xbox One in at Game. You don’t have to be a member of their stupid club to do so do you? And can you get more for store credit?

Doesn't bother me, I only have 5 or 6 big games installed at one time anyway. The ready to install bit is there for when I want to play something else, which I always know in advance anyway. G would struggle though. Fuck my life.
The thought of splunking £2k on a TV which will inevitably be beaten by the early 2018 releases has put me off. I have found this little gem - which is HRD and has FreeSync.
Needs more nits, no? I think I was reading on What Home Cinema that you should be aiming for a peak brightness of 1000 nits with a typical output of 700-750, to make the HDR truly sing.

The problem with that video is that it still looks fine on my 900p laptop. Its textures and ramped-up lighting translate more effectively than marketers would like, and I'm not sold on HDR, as it reminds me of last-gen's early bloom craze.
Because they're targeting HDR so heavily, they're overcooking it to the extent that you don't need an HDR screen to see its implementation without. Maybe in a couple of years if they get less horny and learn subtleties...
