Win a Sleepy Cat Plush, A Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut Soundtrack CD, a SIGNED limited edition art print AND a copy of the game!
To celebrate the launch of Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut, we’re giving away one of only 10 sleepy cat plush toys to exist in the world, along with a limited edition version of the Lone Survivor soundtrack and a framed art print signed by Jasper himself. We’ll even throw in a copy of the game for PS3 and Vita.
We’re very proud of our work with Jasper on the Director’s Cut edition, which is currently enjoying a Metacritic rating of 81, one of our highest yet for our PlayStation developed and published titles. If you haven’t picked it up yet, check out the reviews of the game.
If you’ve played the Director’s Cut edition, you might know that Sleepy Cat is a big part of this version of the game, and we’ve partnered with plush designer SukiSuki to bring the character to life, from a 2D pixel art drawing the fully three dimensional soft toy you can see below. With design help from Jasper himself, this is officially licensed, high quality and hand made merchandise. It’s also very cute! You can see more pictures and learn about the process of making a cat right here!
We’ve also worked with Jasper to create a mock PS2 edition of the game – it’s actually the Director’s Cut soundtrack on CD, but it looks just like some of the survival horror games that have influenced Lone Survivor, and includes original art work from Jasper himself and a PSN code on the inlay. Finally, we also limited edition framed art prints from the game, signed and numbered by Jasper himself, pictured (unframed) below!
Ok, I get it! How do I win these amazing prizes?
To win, all you need to do is tell us about your favourite ‘Scary Moment’ in a video game. It doesn’t have to be in Lone Survivor – it can be in any game with the ‘NOPE’ factor – a game that made you turn on the lights and have a cup of tea and a sit down.
You can enter on Twitter by tweeting your answer and using the #SleepyCat hashtag or through [?Subject=Lone%20Survivor%20Competition]Emailing us. To be in with two chances of winning, you can email and tweet at us! Nobody ever said we weren’t generous people. You must use the hashtag when you tweet to be in for a chance, and you must enter by 3.00PM CET on October 18th.
We’ll pick our favourite and announce the winner on the 21st October. Five runners up will also win a copy of the game on PSN. Anyone living in a country that accepts postal shipments from the United Kingdom is welcome to apply, and here’s a full set of our terms and conditions.
Didn’t you say TEN cats?
We DID say that! Out of the ten we’ve made, we’ve set aside some for people who have helped us make the game a reality! However, we’re not just hoarding them all. We’ve partnered with God is a Geek, Push Square and Sixth Axis to bring you 3 more competitions over the month of October. You are welcome to enter ALL of the competitions to increase your chance of winning a plush. We’ll post links to those competitions as they become available, and we’ll also be linking to them on Twitter, too!
It is a challenge, for sure - easily the most frustrating part of the design but, to quote the game, there was no other solution. It's just one of those things.
If there's anything I can help with let me know, hope you persevere
Honestly, my biggest challenge so far has been seeing how many heartbeats I can last before waking up. I'm torn between my curiosity to find out what happens if you wait too long, and my cowardice.
Got a bit frustrated earlier, seemingly going round and round in circles trying to navigate the apartments basement. Just when I thought I was getting the hang of it, I was forced to flee at speed through it, almost dying a couple of times in the process.
Still, I finally escaped the apartments. That's as far as I've got so far.
I actually did most of it without using the torch. Due to the battery life and the fact that it just attracts monsters, I only use it when I really can't see anything.
I'm wayyyyyy overdue to see the new content in this masterpiece. Especially considering I wouldn't let my brother show me any of it as he was making it. Feel quite guilty actually.
I glanced at the wiki earlier and saw some stuff I wasn't familiar with....got to find it myself.
