So I've got a playlist of 100 tracks now, based on recommendations in this thread, the other music threads, and some stuff from the music quizzes we've done. I could still add a few more if anyone has suggestions. As I said, I've avoided licensed/non-original music.
I've converted everything to mp3 and should have it all ready soon enough. If anyone wants it I can upload it when it's done.

The NiGHTS soundtrack remixed each time you played the game, so it was always different. Never sounded bad though, very clever.

@dynamite: yeah, I do like that soundtrack. Thunderforce 2 is also good. Not sure why I haven't heard 3. Blame my mate who gave me the tapes from his MD recordings.I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.

@Dyno I nearly included 'Funny Angry' from Dynamite Headdy but had problems converting it. I'll try one of the others.
There's loads of great Katamari tunes, and I've included a couple. The main theme from the original (Katamari on the Rocks) is immense. -
FFVI seems an omission. Not sure which track to recommend most though. -
