No Rest for the Wicked (PC Early Access)

So this is the new one from the Ori lads. Early Access, so there's some performance issues, a few bugs/glitches. Nothing major I've noticed bar some stuttering really.
But God damn its a fucking blast. Looks stunning, I can see why its such a system hog. Gameplay is incredibly responsive, fluid, gorgeous to play. Current release is only Chapter 1 right now but its big, loads to explore, do, see, quest etc. Combat feels meaty as fuck.
If the full game stays on this level its gonna be an alltimer. -

Recommended specs are very beefy, so hopefully a real release will lead to some optimisations to make this a bit more reasonable.

My PC gets 40-50fps in places on 1440p best quality. It does need some tweaking to stuff and DLSS is to be implemented down the line. It really is a beautiful game, however. -
It does look like a good 'un. I like the slower and more hefty combat, really does look like a Souls game with a different perspective -

This looks entirely my jam but I'll wait until it's done. Just the change of perspective gets me over my Souls block.

It's CPU bound so even switching from lowest to highest only gets me 2/3 frames so GPU isn't vastly important right now. -
Just played the opening bit on the ship. The feel of the controls is good and the combat definitely has weight. As usual I’m shit at parrying in games like this so I’m playing the waiting game with the shield.
I haven’t popped an FPS counter on but it feels smooth enough. This should fly once they code in DLSS. Loving the art style. -
Ah I'm not parrying, currently rocking a two handed Claymore. Its the same as Souls as as long as you're patient, you can just attack and roll.

I'll be getring this when it hits PS5, Moon Studios have earned my day one money. Looks less looty than I thought it would be.

First boss down, into the city, did a lot of running around then the game just crashed back to desktop. But it is a looker. Have decided to go for a dex build, I like the way you can move around quickly and, after I died on my first attempt at the boss, the second was ok, thanks to the mobility. Also where this game shines over your traditional 3rd person view, much better view of the battle and where to position yourself. It is a bit of a looker innit.
