Company of Heroes 2 official announcement
I must have played the first eight missions of the original a dozen times. Always getting massively stuck on a very specific mission after taking and then defending one of the French cities I cant remember.
I'm extremely excited about the prospect of an 'HD' Company of Heroes. Dawn of War 2 just didn't do it for me, despite sinking around 15 hours into it. It was just too similar in each mission.
Hopefully they can add some variety here without the need of ramping up the difficulty to crazy levels.
First one was one of the few rts games I could be bothered with. Loved it. There's something great about all these little guys throwing themselves around the scenery.
I'm still regularly playing the originals.  Can't wait for number 2.
I found the overly scripted missions of the expansions a bit annoying but overall COH is up there with the Total War series for best RTS game.
I hope the sequel caters to turtles a bit more.  I always wanted to dig in and let the AI flounder against my entrenched position.  But the reality in most multiplayer maps was that if you didn't wipe out the AI's base before it found yours, you'd be overrun very quickly.
It wasn't until I hit my thirties that I realised you could unlock rewards by exploring the map
