Sequel to the absurdly brilliant open-world Forza spinoff, devv'ed by Playground, former Codies and Bizarre folks.
Features new southern-Europe map, weather systems, and more connectivity n ting.

Xbox One version being built by Playground on a modified version of the Forza 5 engine.

And for those like me still in the dark ages, unfortunately the 360 version is being handled by a different team...

... Not to worry though. That other team is none other than Sumo Digital, so it's probably going to be shit hot too.

I am fucking hype. First one was incredible.

Awesome quote from the IGN interview:
And, yes, all the training you’ve done for your Forza Motorsport 5 Drivatar will translate right over to Forza Horizon 2.
There were plenty who loved my Drivatar amirite? :D

The improvements to the online experience aren’t exclusively technical, though. The Horizon 2 team has also gone back to the drawing board on clubs, which now allow you to create clubs of up to 1000 players, and has introduced what it calls Car Meets.

“It’s really inspired by what happens in the real world,” explains Fulton. “You can take your car to a Car Meet and enter an online hangout, basically, where you can hang-out, you can socialise, you can meet new people, you can chat.”
In a Car Meet you can show off your own custom designs or tunes, or browse those of others. Players can grab liveries, tunes, or even entire cars from each other within Car Meets (for which they’ll be compensated). Beyond that, Car Meets also serve as a place to party up with other players or, better yet, wait for friends to come online. Unlike a static lobby, in Car Meets you can trigger quick Showdown Races against other players within the Car Meet. At the conclusion of a Showdown Race you’ll be returned directly to the Car Meet. It means if you’re planning an online session with several mates, but a few of them are late, you can kill time with quick-fire races from within a Car Meet rather than stare gormlessly at an online spreadsheet of Gamertags.

Loved? I still get night sweats.

FH2 was always incoming but this is great news. Sumo on the 360 is amazing, it remains to be seen if they are given leeway to bring their touch to it or if it will be a straight port.

Now if only they would do a sale on the Rally pack for FH1 to celebrate.

They should tie up some licensing deals with McDonalds and Asda to really set the locales for car meets.

Reference to dog walking?

Wrong if so. If i got naked with a load of strangers in a car park while walking the dog, he'd have his head buried up everybodies arse.

Its bad enough when your clothed at home ffs.

Confirmed 1080p on One by devs and locked 30fps as per Horizon 1.
• I'd have taken a hit on the Ps for 60 frames tbh.

Wasnt Horizon 1 about as good as you could get 30fps wise though?
• Horizon was 30fps and is one of the finest racers around. Considering the apparent size of Horizon 2's world, plus the whole "drive anywhere" thing, asking for 60fps seems unreasonable.

I simply cannot imagine the words needed to convey my HYPEXCITEMENT!
• E3 showing is making me want to hurry through my backlog so I can jump on board the next gen when this drops.
Unless someone very obviously insults your loved ones with intent, take nothing here seriously.
• The hype starts here.
